Choosing to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you’ll ever make. It is our Father’s will for everyone to be saved and live with him for eternity. The scriptures declare:
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” — John 3:14-18
To be saved means that you have accepted Jesus into your heart, have confessed him as your Messiah and Savior, and have made the decision to follow him with all of your heart. Once you have done that you become “born again” into a new spiritual life; sealed by God the Father and assured eternal life.
The book of Corinthians says:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ), and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” – II Corinthians 5:17-21
The book of Romans says:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” — Romans 10:9-11
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13
By his grace our Father in Heaven has already done everything to provide salvation. Your part is simply to believe and receive. There isn’t a specific prayer outlined in the Bible to receive Jesus as your Messiah and Savior.
If you would like to become a follower of the Son of our Heavenly Father right now then simply pray this out loud with a sincere heart:
“Jesus, I confess that you are my Savior and Messiah. I believe in my heart that you died for my sins and the sins of the entire world. I believe that the sacrifice you made by dying on the cross has cleansed, healed, forgiven and saved me. By faith in your Word I receive your salvation now. Thank you for saving me! I choose to follow you all the days of my life.”
The very moment you commit your life to Jesus, the truth of his Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. You are born again. Your name is now written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
